Ave Maria School & Faith Formation Center
On March 19th 2025 the Feast of St. Joseph, God Blessed us with the purchase of the Roosevelt Elementary School in Watertown, SD.
Immaculate Conception Church, Holy Name Church and Immaculate Conception School all purchased the property to together for $875,000. Each party paid $291,667 from their savings.
At the time of the purchase it was agreed by all parties that funds would be raised to refurbish the building to prepare it for school in the fall of 2025. The accessed cost to prepare the school is $1.3 million. Note the estimated cost to refurbish the old Immaculate Conception school building is $13 million! This is ten times more than the cost to refurbish Roosevelt. Learn more by reading our presentation.

Matching Fund
We have an anonymous donor who is willing to match your donation. For every $2 you give, they will give $1. Our anonymous donor will give up to $300,000. Therefore if we raise $600,000 they will give $300,000 for a total of $900,000 raised!

Adopt-A-Room
There are many rooms to adopt.
Room prices range from $5,000- $75,000. In addition to your one time gift you would give an annual gift for five years ranging from $500-$2000 a year to help teachers maintain their rooms.

What Work is being done?
1. Refurbish Classrooms: Plaster & Paint Walls, New Carpet, Cabinets, Ceiling Fans, White Boards, Blinds
2. HVAC in Classrooms: The rooms currently do not have air conditioning. Your donations will give climate controlled rooms.
3. A Chapel with the Blessed Sacrament Present with seating for 100! With new sacristy and chapel bathroom.
4. Remodeling of Kitchen: Current Kitchen can only heat and serve food and it has no dishwasher. New Kitchen will be able to store, prepare, and serve food. This will include a walking in freezer and cooler. Kitchen will have new appliances and a new dishwasher.
5. Fixing of Roof: Fix all leaks in roof and replace roof over cafeteria.
6. New Asphalt on Playground
7. New Ave Maria Signs on School Property
8. New Flooring in Hallways
9. Painting of Gym and other updates
10. Artwork in School to reflect our mission: Moving of Stain Glass Windows to School Library.

This New School Property is 40 % Larger than our current School and has much more land to expand.
It is our desire to explore having a Junior High and possibly even a High School. Our ultimate goal is to help our kids become Lifelong Catholic Missionary Disciples through God's Love!
